w2w - Documentation

Startup screen

When you start the program, you will find a screen showing a list of your sites and four buttons (see screenshot). The buttons will do exatly what you think, "+" will add a site, "-" remove the selected site, "Edit" opens up the edit panel, and "Upload" updates the site on the server.

In the edit panel, the "Name" is what w2w will call the entry and what you will see in the list. The "Folder" is the local folder containing your site and it is selected through browsing. The "Remote server" is the full url of your ftp-server (e.g. ftp.my_site.com, NOT ftp://ftp.my_site.com). If you need to specify a port, you do that after a colon following the url (ftp.my_site.com:5192). "Remote username" and "password" don't need an explanation, and finally "Remote folder" is the folder on your server where your site resides. When you press "Upload" everything in the folder "Folder" will be updated in the folder "Remote folder".
